Dear Friend,

If you'd like to play guitar with fluid and musical chord changes this might be the most important page you're going to read in a long time.

My name is Mike Kennedy (I'm the founder of the National Guitar Academy) and if there’s ONE thing I’ve learned in over 20,000 hours of teaching people to play guitar it’s this...

...It is impossible to become an accomplished guitarist without good chord knowledge and strong chord technique.

Every week I explain to our new students that there are four quarters of the guitar world and the first and most important is CHORDS:
Chords are the foundation of your guitar success.

Because without good chord knowledge and chord technique, it simply isn't possible to become a competent guitarist.
Having good chord knowledge and technique matters at all ability-levels
For beginners it allows you to make music quickly and it reduces frustration.

For intermediate players it makes you more articulate and expressive. It deepens your understanding of the instrument.

For advanced players it helps you understand the fretboard. (To see "into" the DNA of music.)

The bottom line is, if you have strong chord knowledge and chord technique you’ll be a fantastic guitarist who sounds very musical.

But there's a problem...
90% of all our new students come to us with poor chord technique

In fact, it’s mostly terrible

It’s not their fault of course… They learned as best they could. (Mostly from trying to teach themselves and/or by watching YouTube videos.)

They don’t see anything wrong with ‘having a go’ by themselves. What’s the worst that could happen, right?

And THIS is why so many people struggle to learn guitar.

Every time you play the guitar you are building muscle memory, literally TEACHING your brain and fingers patterns of movement and engraining them more and more deeply.

If you play chords badly for long enough you ENGRAIN the poor technique!
So having good chord knowledge and solid chord technique isn’t just important, it's also deceptively urgent.

Put simply: If you have sub-standard chord technique you need to fix it quickly because the longer you play with poor technique you ENGRAIN those bad habits into your playing.

This means you can become a flat-out 'bad guitarist' and it becomes much harder to correct those mistakes in your playing in the future.
The circle of frustration

This process can be a vicious circle for some people and it can be incredibly disheartening to have a dream of playing the guitar and watch it slide out of view because you feel you’re just ‘not talented enough.’

When people feel this way, they become resigned to it and often feel that guitar 'just isn't for them' and they let the dream die.

When I see this happen, it breaks my heart, because my mission is to spread the gift of music far and wide (because I believe that music is a wholly positive force in the world).

Music brings people together. It’s a unifying force. It’s magic. It can create joy, energy and help with focus or inspiration. And it can help with relaxation or bring comfort.

Nothing on Earth affects human beings quite like music.

But perhaps best of all, it’s an incredible way to express yourself.
So what's the solution?
Well, with the right guidance, you can 'unlearn' bad habits quickly and you can have flawless chord technique, even if you've been struggling for YEARS.

(I've seen it happen with hundreds of students.)

And most importantly of all, know this...

You don’t need to have a special talent to have great chord knowledge and strong chord technique.

You just need to know the techniques and tricks that good guitarists use and then use them yourself.

It really is that simple.

And the best news of all?

With the right guidance, you can learn all these fun techniques surprisingly fast.

THOUSANDS of people have transformed the way they play guitar using these strategies and they will work for you too.

Almost my entire adult life has been committed to music in some way, so you can see this is something I care passionately about.

And that’s why I created an 11-step program for guitarists like YOU who want fast, fluid, seamless chord changes and clean, crisp and musical chords...

...something UNIQUE.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the format of the course?
There are 11 modules in the course. Each module contains between three and twenty six video lectures that you can watch at any time that’s convenient for you. Most lectures are between 5 and 10 minutes long, and they’re all available online.

Jack and I have always got the guitar in our hands and I’m constantly demonstrating with examples. This is a very visual course, it’s very easy to follow. (You will have NO guesswork!) Dozens of the lessons have downloadable PDF's with chordboxes that supplement the main video lesson.

As a student of ours we see you as a 'VIP', so if you ever get stuck, or have a question, you can email us and we'll respond quickly to any questions you may have.

Do I have to show up at a particular place or a particular time?
No, the entire course happens online, and you can take it from any place where you have an internet connection. All lectures are prerecorded so you can watch them at any time that works for you.

Of course, you can also enjoy all the lectures on your smartphone or tablet.

Does the course need to be downloaded? Does it take up memory on my computer/phone/tablet?
No. The course is hosted entirely on Vimeo's industry-leading servers. You don’t need to download anything and it won’t take up any memory on your device.
Is the course transferable from one device to another?
Yes. You simply access the course on our website from whatever device you want to use

Is there a time limit on accessing the course?
No. You have lifetime access and are free to progress through the course at your own pace.

How much time do I need in order to take this course?
You can spend as much or as little time as you want, and you get lifetime access to all course materials, so there is no reason to complete the course within a certain time period.

You can follow the course at your own pace and always come back to the videos later when you want to revisit the material or work on improving certain aspects of your guitar playing.

Even if the timing is not right for you, I still encourage you to sign up because the registration won’t open again anytime soon (and when it does, the price will almost certainly be higher).
What happens after the course ends?
You keep lifetime access to all course content, as well as free lifetime updates. That means you can always review the material in the future, and you’ll have plenty of time to catch up in case you fall behind.

What if I’m not good with technology?
The majority of our students describe themselves as 'not good with technology', so don't worry! Even if you feel like you know nothing about technology, you won’t feel left out.

The course is very easy to navigate and all technical concepts are described in simple terms while avoiding unnecessary jargon, which allows people from all age groups to successfully participate in the course.

And just in case you get stuck, you can always ask any questions, which will be promptly answered either by me or one of my team members.

Technology should not stand in the way of your creativity!
What if I’m really terrible on guitar?
You don’t need any previous guitar experience to join the course. All the lectures start from the very beginning while gradually progressing into advanced topics.

The course is specially designed for beginner-to-advanced guitarists. There are no prerequisites and anyone can learn to play the guitar.

Even if you think you have no talent or artistic ability, you’ll be able to play the guitar by applying the specific techniques that you’re going to discover in this program

What if I’m already an experienced guitarist?
If you’ve been actively studying guitar for several years, you’re probably going to be familiar with some of the ideas and techniques that are discussed in this course.

With that said, I’ve learned over the years that you can always pick up new things from other guitarists. Always. There’s always a lick, riff, springboard, idea or concept that you can take and implement into your own playing.

If you’re worried that you might already know everything we teach in this course, I encourage you to sign up, go through some of the modules, and ask for a refund if you’re not learning new things.

In my experience, no matter how much experience you already have, there are always more things to learn!

Does it make any difference if I have an acoustic or electric guitar?
It makes no difference at all. Guitar is guitar. We encourage all our students to take an interest in BOTH.

You are not a well rounded guitarist unless you play both. Why only experience half of the joy of guitar? Play acoustically and amplified!

What if I don’t have a guitar?
Beg, borrow, steal… Do whatcha have to do to get one! (You can’t learn guitar without playing guitar.)

Why is there a deadline for registration?
A couple of reasons. Firstly, we don't want to be overwhelmed. We want to deliver an outstanding experience to every student. Secondly, we've learned that students form a more active community when many people complete a course at the same time, which helps them further improve their progress.

I don’t know when the registration will open again, but it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon because we’ll be very busy delivering a world-class experience to our current students.

Even if the timing is not perfect, I recommend that you join the course now since you get lifetime access to all the lectures (and registration won’t open again anytime soon).

Why is the price in US dollars? How much does the course cost in British pounds?
The majority of our students are in the US so we price in dollars.

The USD dollar v GBP pound exchange rate changes frequently. To see how much the course costs in pounds based on today’s exchange rate Google it. (Or click here.)

ChordMaster is AMAZING value
Having a skilled guitar teacher in the room with you is the fastest way to learn guitar.

But here's the thing, skilled guitar teachers are very hard to find! (As the owner of two guitar schools, this is something I have a lot of experience with.)

The real-life REALITY is that most people do NOT have a world-class guitar teacher on their doorstep.

So they bounce from one unsatisfying guitar teacher to the next... Learning a little and spending a lot.

With this in mind, ChordMaster is incredible value. The equivalent amount of ‘offline’ guitar teaching would cost well over $1,000. (Assuming you could actually find a guitar teacher of comparable ability in the first place.)

ChordMaster is the outcome of over 20,000+ hours of guitar teaching. We've learned what works and we can share it all with you.
ChordMaster is unique
The things you’ll learn in ChordMaster aren’t available anywhere else. You can only get this 11-step program right here.

We make lots of free content, but please understand that ChordMaster is our best material.

So if you want fast, fluid, seamless chord changes and clean, crisp and musical chords then sign up now.
